About UsNavitas Technologies, Ltd. of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada (A wholly owned subsidiary of Tersus Energy Plc.) was established in 1990 and designs, manufactures and markets high performance, microprocessor-based electronic control systems and accessories for a wide variety of electric vehicles (EVs). Navitas' products and integrated systems are used in battery and alternative-powered vehicles across multiple applications. These include: industrial and commercial vehicles such as forklift trucks, aerial platforms (scissors and booms), airport ground support equipment (GSE), ice re-surfacers, golf cars, scooters and other special-purpose industrial electric vehicles. Navitas produces patented controller products and software algorithms, as well as customized designs developed specifically for large, medium and small OEMs as well as a complete offering of electrical drive components. Navitas has several patents. The most prominent of which is "Synchronous Rectification" which facilitates the technique of switching a secondary bank of MOSFETs (Metal Oxide Field Effect Transistors) to reduce power loss in the controller when the motor speed is less than 100%. This extends the life of motors, batteries and contactors. Over the last decade the electric vehicle market has been extremely successful in the development and exploitation of technology and is growing rapidly resulting in a decrease of internal combustion engine vehicles in the industrial market. Navitas Technologies is dedicated to providing solutions to this rapidly evolving industry without losing site of the customers and opportunities that made us what we are today. Navitas' commitment to our customers and new product innovation is what make our solutions a natural fit for organizations requiring electric motor controls today. |
